When a water emergency is declared on Piers Island the Emergency Program will contact residents.
Residents may be advised to do one of the following:
STOP DRAWING WATER
  • Do not draw any water from the system.
  • Turn off water at the road to avoid accidentally using water.
BOIL WATER
  • Draw water from system but BOIL for one minute before consuming.
RESTRICT USE
  • Use water sparingly. Note: Salt water can be used for toilet flushing.
  • This restriction may or may not be combined with the boil water advisory.
